Cops seize meth, LSD, pot

Waupaca police found narcotics hidden in electrical outlets of a felon on extended supervision.

Ryan D. Schmoldt, 39, Waupaca, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of LSD with intent, possession of marijuana with intent and maintaining a drug house.

Shortly before noon on April 22, Waupaca Police Capt. John Helgeson and Officer Sam Van Dinter met with probation and parole agents at Schmoldt’s apartment on the 100 block of North Main Street in Waupaca.

An anonymous source told the agents Schmoldt was hiding drugs in his apartment.

Officers reported finding an orange waxy substance that tested positive for THC, nine perforated paper blotters with suspected LSD and a cellophane bag with under 1 gram of crystal meth.

Schmoldt is currently in custody for suspected violation of his extended supervision.

On July 22, 2009, Schmoldt was convicted in Waushara County of second-degree sexual assault of a child and sentenced to 30 months in prison and 54 months of extended supervision.

On Dec. 7, 2009, Schmoldt was convicted of felony strangulation in Outagamie County for a May 22, 2009, offense. Charges of felony child abuse and attempted battery of an unborn child were dismissed but read into the court record.

He was sentenced to one year in prison to be served consecutively to his Waushara County sentence.

On March 29, 2011, Schmoldt was convicted in Waupaca County of felony delivery of THC for a Jan. 27, 2009, offense.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, to be served concurrently with his other sentences.
