Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 24

• June 23 – A 911 all came in from the 200 block of East Beacon Avenue, New London. Communications officers could only hear a woman moaning in the background. They were able to trace the call and send help.

• June 23 – Caller from the N11000 block of Wallace Park Road, Marion, reported the theft of an electric chain saw and a cordless drill.

• June 23 – An 85-year-old man on the 100 block of West Fourth Street, Manawa, reported a couple named Christina and Percy went to his home. Christina claimed to be his daughter, but he said she is not. He said she told him they would return with a trailer to pick up their things.

• June 23 – Caller from the 200 block of South Jackson Street, Iola, reported someone tried to start a fire in her mailbox.

• June 23 – Caller from the 600 block of Elm Street, Waupaca, reported the foundry’s bay door was open and a boom box was blaring music at 10:30 p.m.

• June 23 – Caller from the 700 block of 10th Street, Waupaca, reported her sister is homeless and has a 4-year-old daughter.

• June 23 – Caller from the N1800 block of Virginia Drive, Waupaca, reported the theft of a wooden bench and a post.

• June 22 – Kwik Trip, Mill Street, New London, reported a woman with bruises and cuts walked into the store asking for information on a women’s shelter. She returned to a brown van where a man began yelling at her.

• June 22 – New London caller reported her ex-boyfriend was harassing her via cellphone messages to other people.

• June 22 – Caller from Depot Street, Manawa, reported her mother-in-law came over and started an argument that escalated to scratching, punching and hair pulling.

• June 22 – Clear Water Harbor, King, reported damage to a light post and some flower boxes.

• June 22 – Rawhide Boys Ranch, New London, reported two juveniles, ages 14 and 16, ran away.

• June 22 – New London caller reported she may have alcohol poisoning because she had been vomiting all day.

• June 21 – Caller from the N2100 block of Cleghorn Road, Waupaca, reported she received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. She purchased security service for $200 and gave them information about her identity.

• June 21 – Caller reported an older green car stalled out on Union Street in front of the Waupaca Hotel. The female passenger pushed the car from the middle of the street into a handicapped parking spot. The male driver appeared to be passed out.

• June 21 – Caller from the E1600 block of Moen Road, Iola, reported a tree fell on a power line, knocking the lines to the ground. The lines were smoking.

• June 21 – Anonymous caller reported a 1-year-old child is living in a suspected drug trafficking house in Waupaca.

• June 21 – Caller from the 500 block of Center Street, Manawa, reported an intoxicated man in a blue tank top and blue shorts was threatening people.

• June 21 – Caller from Northport Convenience Store, State Highway 54, New London, reported a man and a woman came to the door after she closed the store and turned off the lights. They asked to be let in but the employee said no. As they turned to walk away, the employee saw the man had a gun behind his back.

• June 20 – Caller from Long Lake Drive, Clintonville, reported someone shot the windows out of his equipment.

• June 20 – Oxford House, Berlin Street, Waupaca, reported finding drug paraphernalia in a resident’s room.

• June 20 – Caller from Indian Valley Road, Waupaca, reported a 17-year-old followed her son home from the truck stop and did burnouts in front of their home. He had harassed her son’s girlfriend, causing them to leave the truck stop.

• June 20 – Caller from the 600 block of South Main Street, Waupaca, reported her neighbor’s dog had been barking for more than an hour.

• June 20 – Caller from the N11000 block of Kratzke Road, Clintonville, reported someone threw a rock through his picture window.

• June 19 – Chain One BP, County Trunk QQ, King. reported a woman shoplifted a bottle of vodka.

• June 19 – Caller from the E6300 block of County Trunk OO, Union, reported she had just returned home from an extended trip and found the front door was wide open and her house ransacked.

• June 19 – A 71-year-old Waupaca woman reported she received a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. She gave the person her Social Security and bank account numbers before realizing the call was a scam.

• June 18 – An intoxicated 29-year-old man came to the Waupaca County Law Enforcement Center, pounded on the door, and said he needed to go to jail.

• June 17 – Caller from the 1200 block of Royalton Street, Waupaca, called 911 and said his phone is messed up. “When I asked him what I could do for him, he stated that he needed a hug,” according to dispatch.
