Woman charged with armed burglary, felony theft

Jacqline D. Swenson, 28, Clintonville, is charged with armed burglary, felony theft, driving vehicle without owner’s consent, identity theft, credit card theft, credit card fraud and possession of burglarious tools.

On June 19, a 72-year-old woman called 911 and reported she came home after a three-week trip and found her home ransacked.

Waupaca County Deputy John Stephens and Detective Sgt. Kevin Durrant responded. They found that someone pulled out all the drawers and rifled through them.

The victim reported thousands of dollars worth of missing jewelry, dozens of stolen firearms and $4,500 in stolen cash.
A 1994 Mustang convertible was missing from the garage.

A stolen debit card had been used 10 times from June 10-19 to obtain cash from an ATM.

Images from the ATM’s camera showed a vehicle that had been loaned to Swenson and her boyfriend.

Deputies executed a search warrant at Swenson’s home on Sunset Drive in Clintonville.

They found the victim’s checkbook on the nightstand.

Detective Sgt. Nick Traeger located a bag with a credit card belonging to the victim’s company.

Officers found methamphetamine in the basement.

The landlord told officers Swenson was in the process of moving to an apartment on State Highway 22 in Bear Creek.

In Bear Creek, officers found the stolen Mustang in the garage.

They also found an insulated cooler with sunglasses, a face mask with a skull print, a head lamp flashlight, a regular flashlight, binoculars, two knives, a cellphone and a revolver.

Swenson faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of armed burglary, 10 years for felony theft and six years each for car theft and identity theft.

She is currently in custody on a $5,000 cash bond.
