Pizza money stolen

Norman

Police say suspect gambled with restaurant’s funds.

Christopher M. Norman, 29, Clintonville, is charged with felony theft in a business setting.

Among his responsibilities as shift manager at the Clintonville Pizza Hut, Norman made bank deposits.

Pizza Hut’s director of operations told police Norman did not deposit the daily sales revenues on April 17, April 21 and April 24 through May 9.

Pizza Hut estimates the total amount missing is $6,513, according to the criminal complaint.

Norman reportedly told Clintonville Police Chief Dennis Schroeder that he gambled the money away at the Marathon station.

Norman said he intended to pay the restaurant’s money back but “kept getting deeper and deeper.”

Summoned to appear in court on July 16, Norman faces up to six years in prison if convicted of felony theft.
