Three more crosswalks are set to be painted in downtown Waupaca on Sunday, July 7.

They are part of “Murals at Your Feet,” this year’s community art project.

The Waupaca Community Arts Board (WCAB) chooses a project each year as part of Arts on the Square (AOTS).

This year’s arts festival is taking place Aug. 16-17, on North Main Street and in Rotary Riverview Park.

The community art project involves painting seven crosswalks.

The first two were painted in early June.

The crosswalks  scheduled to be painted on July 7 are:

• Union Street (from the Blue Angel Salon to Antiques on Main, leading to the Rosa Theater). Miranda Steingraber did this design.

• Granite Street (from the Corner Pet Store to Danes Hall). This design is the work of Erin Tracy.

• Cooper Street (from the ramp to Rotary Riverview Park). Yvonne Brown did the design, which WCAB will permanently maintain.

Those interested in volunteering to help paint any of the crosswalks are asked to email [email protected] or send a message to WCAB through its Facebook page.

The final two crosswalks are being painted on days leading up to AOTS.
