Homeless woman in jail

Waupaca suspect charged with burglary

Jennifer M. Bostone, 30, Waupaca, is charged with burglary and felony bail jumping.

On June 21, Waupaca County Deputy Patrick Gorchals was dispatched to a home on South Apple Tree Lane in rural Waupaca.

He spoke to a resident who said he had been sleeping during the day because he works the night shift.

The man heard someone in the house, left his bedroom and encountered Bostone.

Barely awake, he asked Bostone what she was doing in the house.

According to the criminal complaint, she said she was looking for her grandmother.

He then noticed she had several hygiene products, so he told her to return them to the bathroom.

Then another man the resident did not know entered the house. He and Bostone left in a gold-colored mini-van.

The man told Gorchals he looked around the house and noticed a half-inch impact wrench was missing.

The new tool, which was a birthday gift, had been taken from its packaging.

On June 22, Gorschals learned New London police made contact with Bostone and the other man.

The next day, police obtained a search warrant for the van and located the missing impact wrench.

After speaking to the victim, Gorchals went to a home on the 900 block of Ware Street in Waupaca.

There he found Bostone and others living in a house as squatters.

Bostone said she was homeless, the complaint says.

She is currently residing at the Waupaca County jail on a $1,000 cash bond.

On Jan. 6, 2016, Bostone was convicted of possession of narcotics and placed on two years of probation.

Her probation was revoked on June 28, 2016, and she was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months of extended supervision.

On May 28, 2019, Bostone was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC. She was released on a $2,000 signature bond.
