Dale women who left home seek restraining order

Petition alleges husband, father is abusive

The mother and daughter who went missing from the town of Dale last month requested a restraining order against their husband and father, Kelly Rousseau.

In their petitions to the Outagamie County Circuit Court, Jill Rousseau and her adult daughter Jordan specified they are in imminent danger of physical harm.

When the petitions were filed Wednesday, July 10, they stated Kelly Rousseau had been physically abusive toward them in the last two weeks, including striking his daughter on the head, chest and back with a Taser flashlight.

The petitions state Kelly Rousseau also possesses a .22-caliber gun, shotguns, hunting rifles, a revolver and knives.

The weapons may be located at the Rousseaus’ home, the family’s wellness center in Menasha, in a storage unit and in his truck, according to the petition.

They asked the court to require Kelly Rousseau to refrain from making threats of violence, controlling behavior and verbal and emotional abuse.

Jill and Jordan Rousseau were granted a temporary restraining order. They are requesting a four-year injunction.

An injunction hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, in Outagamie County Circuit Court.

Kelly Rousseau has not been charged with a crime.

Jill and Jordan Rousseau left home June 16 while Kelly Rousseau was on his way home from a funeral in Minnesota.

Law enforcement located the women in Madison on June 19 following statewide searches and Kelly Rousseau’s public plea for them to return home.

The two had left home without their cellphones or any notice of where they were going.

Security footage had last recorded them outside the family’s Menasha business, Oasis Wellness Center, the afternoon of June 16.
