Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 23

• July 22 – Caller from the 1800 block of Nassau Street, New London, reported that a 3-year-old girl knocked on their door. She did not tell them her name or where she lived. They also did not recognize her from the neighborhood.

• July 21 – Caller from the N2700 block of Richard Street, Waupaca, reported that someone teepeed his house and poured flour all over his car.

• July 21 – Caller from the 500 block of High Street, Waupaca, reported that someone was knocking on and trying to open their door.

• July 21 – Ogdensburg caller reported that the storm ripped an electric meter off his house and the power lines were lying across his propane tank.

• July 21 – Caller from the N7900 block of Roland Road, Ogdensburg, reported that someone entered his home and barn while he was away. Tools and extension cords were missing.

• July 21 – Caller from Shadow Road, Waupaca, reported possible drug activity at a neighbor’s house.

• July 21 – About a dozen callers throughout Waupaca County reported motorists ignoring barricades and driving onto roads with downed trees in the dark.

• July 20 – Caller from the N3600 block of County Trunk O, New London, reported that someone tried to steal their generator.

• July 20 – Caller reported that a man was passed out in his front yard in King.

• July 20 – Scandinavia caller reported that the storm bent a flag pole near Silver Lake and it seemed disrespectful.

• July 20 – Caller from the 1200 block of Lawrence Street, New London, reported that her apartment was on fire.

• July 20 – Waupaca caller reported that her son was drunk, belligerent and walking down the middle of Smith Road in Waupaca.

• July 19 – Caller from Mud Lake Road, Town of Harrison, reported that his neighbor’s cows keep coming onto his property. He said the neighbors have threatened him and somebody blew up his mailbox.

• July 19 – Waupaca caller reported that his friend was on probation and using drugs.

• July 19 – Waupaca caller reported that an 82-year-old woman fell down. She was not injured but needed a lift assist.

• July 18 – Weyauwega caller reported that someone claiming to represent Social Security scammed him out of $1,800.

• July 18 – ThedaCare in Waupaca requested a welfare check on a woman who missed an appointment and is refusing medical attention. She may have broken her leg.

• July 18 – A Manawa caller reported that a man came to the house while his children, ages 10 and 13, were home alone. The man knocked on the back door and asked if a toy car in the yard was for sale.

• July 17 – Caller from the 200 block of North Main Street, Scandinavia, reported that a man with beard and tattoos was pacing back and forth outside and talking to himself.

• July 17 – Caller from Sue Lane, Waupaca, reported that her 15-year-old daughter spray painted and ruined some plants.

• July 17 – Caller from the E1800 block of King Road, Waupaca, reported four people were in his yard, yelling at him about a car swap. He wanted police to remove the people.

• July 17 – Caller from Division Street, Iola, reported that her boyfriend pushed her down and she was bleeding. She said the boyfriend was leaving, then began screaming.

• July 16 – Caller from Wisconsin Veterans Home in King reported that an someone stole $185 in quarters from an 80-year-old resident.

• July 16 – Rawhide Boys Ranch, New London, reported that a juvenile was punching walls and throwing chairs.

• July 16 – A Marion caller reported that several Amish parked their buggies and allowed their horses to run loose in the park. He said he was angry because of horse manure on the road.
