The Manawa Police Department, Manawa Rural Fire and Ambulance Department, Manawa Lions Club, Manawa CARES, city of Manawa and Sturm Memorial Library will host the event.

The year’s entertainment will be a performance in the arena by the Pink Ribbon Rebels Equestrian Drill Team at 5:15 p.m. followed by a picnic and music by D.J. Sizzling Sonny.

The evening will also include games, a demonstration with the Waupaca County K-9 unit and a meet and greet with the new Rodeo Royalty.

Manawa police, fire and ambulance staff will be there with their vehicles for tours and conversation.

Grilled hot dogs for the light summer picnic will be served beginning at 5:45 p.m.

An ice cream treat will also be served.

Manawa Lions will also have a bus on site for its “Stuff the Bus” promotion to collect school supplies. Donations of school supplies are appreciated.

National Night Out is for all ages and is free to all.

Picnic table seating is available, but guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs.

Young children must be accompanied by an adult.

National Night Out parties across the country are designed to bring communities together, promote police-community partnerships and make communities feel safer for all citizens.
