Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 5

• Aug. 5 – Caller from the E6300 block of White Lake Road, Weyauwega, reported hearing noises outside their home shortly before 1 a.m. Someone tapped on their bedroom window.

• Aug. 4 – Caller from the 200 block of West Sumner Street, Weyauwega, reported she woke up shortly before 5 a.m. and found a stranger in her home. They forced him out of the house. He left behind a hat with blood on it.

• Aug. 4 – Caller from the N2700 block of County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported a man broke into her truck and was sleeping in it. Her boyfriend had to physically remove the man, who was still on the property behind the apartment building.

• Aug. 4 – Home-care nurse in Waupaca requested a welfare check on an 82-year-old man who made suicidal comments.

• Aug. 4 – Caller from the N400 block of Loon Drive, Fremont, reported finding evidence someone entered her home while she was away.

• Aug. 4 – Bear Lake Campground, Manawa, reported there was a fight and a man’s finger was cut off.

• Aug. 4 – Caller reported a man whose license was revoked drove his tractor to the Cenex gas station on County QQ and Otter Drive in Waupaca and purchased alcohol.

• Aug. 4 – Caller from the 800 block of Meadow Lane, Manawa, reported a man had been in his yard yelling profanities for several hours.

• Aug. 3 – New London caller reported her 19-year-old daughter locked herself in the bathroom and will not leave the house.

• Aug. 3 – Rawhide Boys Ranch, New London, reported a resident hit two staff members and will not calm down.

• Aug. 3 – New London caller asked for police assistance because his 15-year-old daughter ran off to a friend’s house. He went there to retrieve her, but she refused to leave.

• Aug. 3 – Weyauwega caller reported he was serving eviction papers, and the tenant had trashed the house. He said the house smelled like chemicals, possibly meth.

• Aug. 2 – Waupaca caller reported her husband, who has diabetes and PTSD, was missing. The following day, she accused her brother-in-law of abducting her husband and said he had returned to the home to gather more of her husband’s belongings.

• Aug. 2 – Caller from the N500 block of Bellin Road, Fremont, reported he received an email notifying him a package was delivered at noon. When he arrived, the package was not there.

• Aug. 2 – An 85-year-old Waupaca man reported he received a call regarding Social Security and gave them his personal information.

• Aug. 2 – Waupaca caller reported finding a lip balm container with suspected meth in it outside the downtown Waupaca Kwik Trip. Both the police station and the sheriff’s office were already closed, so he asked if an officer could pick it up from him.

• Aug. 2 – Caller from the N6000 block of County Trunk W, New London, reported a transformer blew and there were sparks going into the trees.

• Aug. 1 – Cellphone caller reported a 26-year-old male was having a seizure and foaming at the mouth from a possible heroin overdose.

• Aug. 1 – New London caller reported her brother beat her up and she needed an ambulance.

• Aug. 1 – The county Department of Health Services received a call from a woman who was screaming that a man was in her house, hitting her.

• Aug. 1 – Manawa caller requested help because her husband was smashing up the house.

• Aug. 1 – Caller from the 500 block of South Division Street, Waupaca, reported a girl is harassing her 17-year-old daughter on social media. She said the girl drove by their home, yelling obscenities.

• July 31 – Caller from E2300 block of Nancy Lane, Waupaca, reported a man was setting out rat traps to kill chipmunks.

• July 31 – Caller from the N11000 block of Bowers Road, Marion, reported a woman drove onto their property and entered their barn.

• July 31 – Kwik Trip, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a $34 gas drive-off. The license plate had been involved in multiple drive-offs across the state.

• July 30 – Caller from Evans Street, Waupaca, reported her boyfriend was there to get his vehicle, and police had told her to call if he returned. She said he attempted to hit her with the vehicle.

• July 30 – Waupaca caller reported he was trying to cancel a hotel reservation on Expedia when he discovered he had been using a fake website. He was now out $990.

• July 30 – Weyauwega caller requested a welfare check on his 6-year-old daughter because he believes the mother is doing drugs. He said the house was trashed, and there was no food there.

• July 29 – Fremont caller reported making a purchase online, then discovering after the product was not delivered that the escrow service he used was fraudulent, and he was out $10,000.

Traffic
A teen on a bicycle was injured when he struck a pickup truck shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, in the town of Little Wolf.

Dietrich M.J. Sauberlich, 17, Manawa, was eastbound on Swan Road when he disregarded a stop sign at Cemetery Road and hit the side of a southbound pickup.

Sauberlich was transported by ambulance to ThedaCare–New London for treatment of serious injuries.

Donald J. Hampshire, 44, Manawa, was the driver of the truck. He was not injured, but he was cited for OWI.
