“Space” is on display in the Waupaca Area Public Library’s Exhibit Room through Oct. 15.

The exhibit opened on Aug. 3.

The library is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, as well as future NASA missions.

“Space” features photos and maps from the Apollo 11 lunar landing, items from NASA Space Camp, the Smithsonian exhibit “Earth from Above” and photographs and posters from NASA’s latest initiative, Moon to Mars.

The library is hosting NASA scale rockets and memorabilia from the Apollo 11 lunar landing at the end of August and beginning of September.

In addition, it is hosting a Retro Lunar Landing Party from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in the downstairs meeting rooms.

The event features original moon landing footage, mock-tails, appetizers, crafts and activities.

Art workshops are planned for September.

Watch the library’s website for additional details.

“Space” is located in the library’s lower-level Exhibit Room.

The exhibit is free to the public and open during regular library hours.
