Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 12

• Aug. 11 – Employee at Sunset BP, U.S. Highway 10/110, Weyauwega, reported seeing a motorcycle parked at the store at 5 a.m. Security tape showed the bike had been there since 9 p.m. the previous night. She said a woman went into the store that morning and spent a long time in the restroom. The employee later found needles in the trash.

• Aug. 11 – Caller from the E7700 block of County Trunk N, Manawa, reported his neighbors party all the time, and today he found a man passed out in his garage.

• Aug. 11 – Caller from the N1600 block of County trunk A, Waupaca, reported her son stole money, two air conditioners and bunk beds over the weekend.

• Aug. 11 – Caller from County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, said her neighbor came to her apartment and said he needs help because he is sick going through withdrawal.

• Aug. 11 – Caller from Mill Street, Waupaca, reported a black man with dreadlocks entered his apartment, asked if Shay was there and then ran down the stairs.

• Aug. 11 – Caller from ThedaCare in New London reported a truck took out a crosswalk sign without stopping.

• Aug. 10 – Woman went to the Waupaca police station to report her credit card and cellphone were stolen.

• Aug. 10 – New London caller said she was on County Trunk X when a silver Subaru tailgated her, then threw a beer can and hit her car as it passed.

• Aug. 10 – Dollar General, Manawa, reported a 38-year-old woman with a history of shoplifting was in the store.

• Aug. 10 – Weyauwega caller reported her son stole her motorcycle, then sold it.

• Aug. 10 – Rawhide Boys Ranch, New London, reported two boys, ages 13 and 14, ran away.

• Aug. 10 – Waupaca caller said his 17-year-old daughter encountered a man at the artesian well in the town of Lind. During their conversation, she told the man where she works. The caller described the man as white, possibly 6-feet tall, thin and in his 40s.

• Aug. 9 – Caller from the 200 block of High Street, Embarrass, reported the neighbor’s pitbull bit her dog and her husband.

• Aug. 9 – Caller said a man tried to lure her into his car by selling her a pizza oven. When she refused, he returned to his car and drove to McDonald’s restaurant in Waupaca. She said the man was white, had short, red hair, was thin and about 6-feet tall. He wore a navy blue shirt, dirty jeans and work boots, she said.

• Aug. 9 – A Waupaca pastor reported someone is using his name to send text messages asking people to buy iTunes gift cards.

• Aug. 8 – Weyauwega caller reported a scammer entered her neighbor’s home without permission and would not leave when asked.

• Aug. 8 – A 76-year-old Waupaca woman reported someone claiming to be with Social Security called her, and she gave him the last four digits of her Social Security number.

• Aug. 8 – Caller from Cut Off Road, New London, reported a drone has been flying over their yard at night. Caller said the drone hovers over their trampoline when their daughter is out there and hovers near their windows.

• Aug. 8 – Caller reported the windows were busted at Royalton’s town hall.

• Aug. 8 – Caller from Symco Road, Bear Creek, reported his girlfriend threatened that if he comes home, someone will end up in the ground.

• Aug. 8 – Caller from the E500 block of Cobb Town Road, Waupaca, reported someone took a flat-bottom aluminum canoe.

• Aug. 7 – Ruby’s Pantry, 10th Street, Waupaca, reported someone shut off the power to a freezer trailer, and all the products were lost.

• Aug. 7 – Union town chair requested extra patrols because someone is stealing the 45 mph sign on Symco Road almost weekly.

• Aug. 7 – Caller from the 800 block of Seventh Street, Waupaca, reported her neighbor hung two plants on her fence, and she wants them removed.

• Aug. 7 – Weyauwega caller said her 14-year-old son was defiant, slamming doors, so she smashed his Xbox.

• Aug. 7 – Caller from the Fremont Citgo reported a woman grabbed a 7-year-old child out of a car, threw him 4 feet onto the pavement, hit him on the head and dumped a cup of water on him.

• Aug. 7 – A 92-year-old Manawa caller reported hearing a strange beeping sound every five minutes. Dispatch advised her it may be her smoke detector needing new batteries.

• Aug. 6 – Caller reported a man charged with a fourth OWI appeared in Waupaca County court and had a strong odor of intoxicants.
