Roberts, Cynthia A.

Cynthia A. Roberts, age 50, of New London passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Cynthia Ann Roberts was born on June 27, 1969 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to Bruce and Paula (Duffy) Roberts Sr. At the age of 7 her family moved to Milwaukee. Cindy moved to Texas in 2002 and was united in marriage on March 10, 2006 to Otis J. Thompson Jr. in Dallas, TX. The couple returned to Wisconsin in 2007 and settled in rural New London in 2016. Cindy worked for some time in security and with the parts department at Werner Trucking Company in Dallas. She was also employed seasonally for a number of years as a ticket taker and a lift operator at Wisconsin State Fair Park, Milwaukee.
Cindy’s interests included reading science fiction novels, watching the daily news on CNN, and listening to country music. From a young age Cindy also had an affinity for collecting pine cones. She is a member of Family of Christ Church in Clintonville. Cindy also enjoyed listening to the Sunday morning church service on the local radio station. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Otis Thompson Jr.; her mother, Paula Roberts of Braham, MN; and her father, Bruce Roberts of Franklin, WI. There are four children, Emanuel Pettigrue IV, Trevon Dunnigan-Roberts, Samantha (Dwaine Laster Jr.) Thompson, and Otis Thompson III, all of Green Bay. There are twelve grandchildren: Domonic, Bentley, Emanuel V, Gabriel, Mahogany, Athena, Vontrey, Ivy, Dwaine III, Amir, Emrie, and Nova. There are three siblings; Eugene Roberts of Oak Creek, Christine Roberts of New London, and Bruce Roberts Jr. of Texas. Cindy is further survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Otis Thompson Sr., and mother-in-law, Faith Robinson.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 AM at Family of Christ Church, 600 S. Main St., Clintonville, with Pastor Steven Devroy officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting with the arrangements.
Our family wishes to thank all the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center, Appleton, especially Mel and Kalie for the compassionate care provided to Cindy.
