Wozniak, Casimer M.

Casimer M. Wozniak, 95, of Bear Creek, WI passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019

at the Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville, WI.

 Casimer was born Feburary 20, 1924 the son of Michael and Angeline (Szczeniak) Wozniak. 

He was united in marriage to Mary Mrugala on June 16, 1945 in Goodman, WI. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2008. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Armstrong Creek. Casimer and Mary lived on the Wozniak farm, the house Casmier grew up in still stands on the property. It is said to have been built in the 1800’s before Casimer’s parents moved here from Poland. They farmed the land until 1978, while Casimer worked for Louisiana Pacific in Goodman until he retired on disability due to a back injury in 1982. Casimer dedicated 40 plus years of service to the town of Armstrong Creek as the Town Clerk, assessor and supervisor. He also served a term on the Forest County board.

Surviving are daughters, Helen (Richard) Waalkens, Bear Creek; Lorraine (David) Lee, Armstrong Creek; sister-in-law, Paula Wozniak, Green Bay; son, Carl (Rachel) Wozniak, Neenah; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Dicus, Mary Anne Valdez, Brian, Jonathan and Sarah Lee; 7 great-grandchildren, Garrett Rucker, Todd and Jordan Dicus, Cossette and Justin Valdez, Thomas and Nicholas Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Stanley (Anna); Joseph (Shirley), Frank, and a son John.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Armstrong Creek, with Pastor Timothy Brandt officiating. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to time of service.
