Raymond “Ray” Hansen of Waupaca, WI passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Park Vista The Legacy in Waupaca.
Ray was born on September 22, 1934, son of the late Adolph and Clara (Ewert) Hansen in Mequon, WI. He was a graduate of Knox College with a degree in business. Ray never married but had a loving companion, Joy Rath for 18 years, she preceded him in death on June 27, 2017. He was an avid Brewers fan and also enjoyed the Packers.
Ray is survived by his sister, Ruth Solchenberger; supporters and loving care through his journey of life, Judy (Mike) Ryan and June (Mike) Goggins “like Ray’s daughters”; nieces and nephews, Kathy, Chris, Jim, Anne and Steve; Joy’s children: Danny, Judy and Marianne; also many great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, companion Joy, little dog Buttons, sisters June and Leila, and brother Adolph.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Pastor John Taggatz will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
