Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 26

• Aug. 25 – Walgreen’s in Waupaca reported a customer was sitting in the store for a long time. She appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the 800 block of Bartlett Street, Waupaca, reported someone with a flashlight walked around the house, then tried to enter through the back door.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the E7900 block of Dailey Road, New London, reported his neighbor is dumping things in the ditch that can wreck the blades on the caller’s mower.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the N2100 block of Fox Ridge Lane, New London, reported a vehicle struck their rock wall and damaged it.

• Aug. 24 – Caller from the 100 block of West Main Street, Embarrass, reported the license plate was stolen off his motorcycle.

• Aug. 24 – Dispatch reported receiving a call from Waupaca and hearing a woman screaming, swearing and threatening to beat a child. The communications officer heard the woman slap the child, who cried and sounded like a toddler.

• Aug. 23 – Caller from the E8900 block of Laude Road, Clintonville, reported vandalism. The plugs had been removed from the watering lines in the cow barn, causing flooding.

• Aug. 23 – Caller from the E5700 block of Swan Road, Manawa, reported tools were taken from her garage.

• Aug. 23 – Caller reported tan intoxicated man who could barely walk was driving away from the fairgrounds in Weyauwega with children in his car.

• Aug. 22 – Caller from the N2300 block of Sky View Lane, Waupaca, reported the neighbors’ children drove a vehicle through his yard.

• Aug. 22 – Remington Quality Foods, Manawa, reported two people left the store with merchandise they did not purchase.

• Aug. 22 – A caretaker for a 91-year-old Manawa man reported the man drove away from his home. She said he had some cognitive issues and should not be driving.
• Aug. 22 – Waupaca caller reported youth were camping on a vacant lot on Lake Solitude. They had a bonfire, and the caller was worried the flames could spread in the unmowed grass.

• Aug. 21 – Caller from the 400 block of East State Street, Iola, reported her landlord threatened to punch her in the face.

• Aug. 21 – Scandinavia caller reported her niece had been living with her until her boyfriend was released from jail. After the caller told her niece she could no longer live with her, the boyfriend began making threatening phone calls.

• Aug. 20 – Scandinavia caller reported her 24-year-old daughter was told to move out. She said her daughter, who does not have a driver’s license, then took her car without her permission.
