Waupaca to host Little Falls

This year’s BABA Grand Championship game will feature the same two teams as the 2018 final.

Waupaca will host Little Falls at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Lakemen Field after both teams picked up shutout wins in the semifinal round Aug. 25. Waupaca handed Clintonville a 10-0 defeat, while Little Falls ended Birnamwood’s season with a 6-0 win.

Little Falls won last year’s championship with a 2-1 win over the Lakemen.

Waupaca will look for its 16th Grand Championship and first since 2017 and the Loggers will play for their eighth.

Waupaca also won championships in 1959, 1972, 1974, 1976-80, 1982, 1987-88, 1994 and 2010-11. Besides last year, Little Falls also won titles in 1992, 1996-97, 2007 and 2006-07.
