Meth bust in Waupaca

Suspect in custody on cash bond

Sean C. Crews, 35, Waupaca, is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.

On Aug. 22, Waupaca Police Officer Tom Grant saw a red Chevy Trailblazer with a license plate registered to a white Saturn Ion.

Grant followed the Chevy until it stopped on the 700 block of Elm Street.

“As I was behind the vehicle, I observed the operator make a lot of movements in the area of the center console,” Grant reported.

Grant identified the driver as Crews. The officer also learned Outagamie County had issued a warrant for Crews for failing to appear at a sentencing hearing.

According to the criminal complaint, Grant found a cellphone on the driver’s seat and another cellphone in the pocket of the driver’s side door.

Inside the center console, Grant reported finding five syringes and five packages with a total of 8.5 grams of meth.

Crews faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of possession of meth with intent to deliver.

He is currently in custody on a $2,500 cash bond.
