Bank First breaks ground

New office slated to open in Iola

Bank First recently held a groundbreaking ceremony on Aug. 22 at the future site of its new Iola office.

The branch will be located at the corner of East State and North Jackson streets.

The full-service 3,300-square-foot office will be similar to other recently constructed Bank First offices in Sheboygan, Two Rivers, Plymouth and Appleton.

“Our entire team is looking forward to moving to our new location,” said Mary Ann Syvertsen, retail banker in Iola. “The new office will allow our team to continue providing exceptional customer service in a more efficient, customer friendly environment.”

“This project illustrates the commitment we have to the Iola community,” said Jim Lotter, regional president-western region. “We are grateful for the support we have received from the community and look forward to continuing to develop meaningful relationships with local families and businesses. That’s what community banking is all about.”

Construction is expected to be complete by January 2020.

In addition, Bank First plans to completely renovate its existing location in Waupaca. The building, located at 111 Jefferson St., was constructed in 1973.

“We are looking forward to updating the interior and exterior space of our Waupaca office by offering employees a more comfortable workspace and providing customers a modern and efficient place to do business,” stated Lotter. “The remodel will also allow Bank First to further invest in and strengthen its relationship with the Waupaca community.”

As part of the remodel, the bank will be adding a technologically advanced training room with the capacity to seat up to 50 people.

In addition to using the training room for employee development, Bank First will offer the space to local small businesses and non-profit organizations at no charge. The remodel is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2020.
