Harry B. Owens of Waupaca, age 82, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019.
He was born in Gary, Indiana on August 18, 1937 to the late Warden and Eva (Hazeltine) Owens. Harry was a veteran, serving in the Army. He had owned and operated Chain O’Lakes Novelty. He enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together and collecting coins. At family gatherings he was the funny one, telling jokes and great stories.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Verna; children: Rick Owens of Indiana, Doug (Carol) Owens of Wausau, Jeff Owens of Indiana, Jodi (Cal) Krueger of Iola, Deanna (Andy) Ader of Waupaca, Randy (Penny) Yerke of Milwaukee; sisters, Claudia Brazil of Indiana, and Sharon Owens of Waupaca; special grandchildren, Myra Buelow and Troy Edmunds. He is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Imogene and Sandy and a brother, Allen.
Private family services will be held. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
