Waupaca County sheriff’s report Sept. 9

• Sept. 8 – Tractor Supply, Shawano Street, New London, reported a stolen welder.

• Sept. 8 – Shawano caller reported his daughter’s boyfriend threw her to the ground and tried to strangle her. When he left the house, he took all his guns with him.

• Sept. 7 – Patrol officer reported an eastbound vehicle was traveling nearly 100 mph in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 10 near Sunset Curve.

• Sept. 7 – Fleet Farm, Waupaca, reported a man in his late 20s to early 30s left the store with a shopping cart filled with large items he did not pay for.

• Sept. 7 – A call reporting a body was found on State Highway 96 in Readfield turned out to be a prank.

• Sept. 6 – Ramada Grand Seasons, Waupaca, reported a man who did not have a room or a reservation was wandering around the building.

• Sept. 6 – Waupaca caller reported she was walking her dog on a leash on Berkshire Lane when a neighbor’s dog attacked her dog.

• Sept. 6 – Caller from the E1700 block of Shady Drive, Scandinavia, reported shotgun pellets hit his mother’s home.

• Sept. 5 – Anonymous caller reported a man at the Waupaca truck stop kicked a puppy after it humped somebody’s leg.

• Sept. 5 – Waupaca woman reported receiving a scam call claiming to be from Social Security.

• Sept. 4 – 911 caller from a parking lot on West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported “someone thinks they’re special and is taking up two parking spaces.” He asked if it was illegal.

• Sept. 4 – Bank first, Jefferson Street, Waupaca, reported someone kicked in the front door of the vacant building it owns next door.

• Sept. 4 – A 79-year-old woman called 911 and said she was lost and confused because the U.S. 10 exit ramp she usually takes to get home was closed. She said she needed help finding her way home.

• Sept. 4 – A Waupaca Caller reported a couple in a bar was trying to give their 10 to 12 year-old child shots.

• Sept. 4 – Caller from trailer park on Bertram Street, Marion, reported a neighbor was outside screaming profanities, waking her children and throwing stuff out of the dumpster.

• Sept. 3 – Caller reported someone broke into Tom Thumb Mini Golf on Whispering Pines, Waupaca, and stole the cash boxes from the game room.

• Sept. 3 – An 83-year-old Fremont woman reported a scammer called and tried to convince her that her son was arrested for marijuana and she needed to send bail money.

• Sept. 3 – An Ogdensburg caller reported he received a scam call and an email from an alleged internet security company and now he is out $200.

• Sept. 3 – Waupaca caller asked that an officer remove his 49-year-old son from his home.

• Sept. 3 – Neuville Motors, Waupaca, reported a man who said he was a prospective buyer provided false information about himself and now has one of their rental vehicles.

• Sept. 3 – Caller from Moen Road, Iola, reported he has received calls threatening to slash his tires and pour sugar in his gas tank.

• Sept. 3 – Sept. 3 – Fulton BP, Waupaca, requested an officer come and remove a sleeping man from the back of the store.
