FVTC offers business training

Venture Center expands to Clintonville

The Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College will hold its small business training series, E-seed Express, in Clintonville for the first time ever.

In partnership with the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce, a kickoff event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at FVTC’s Clintonville Regional Center, 525 S. Main Street, as a precursor to the eight-week training opportunity.

Based on the success of E-seed in Waupaca in recent years, the Venture Center is extending its curriculum into the Clintonville region.

“E-seed is a dynamic experience for aspiring entrepreneurs or established business owners looking to improve or grow their enterprises,” says Amy Pietsch, Venter Center director. “Rural start-ups and small business play an integral role in today’s global markets.”

Trainees will learn from the national train-the-trainer program how to develop a business plan while exploring concepts related to idea feasibility, industry and competitive analyses, financing, marketing, and more.

In addition, they will gain insight and access to a relevant network of expert entrepreneurs and internationally-recognized leaders in entrepreneur education.

After the Sept 28 kickoff, the training session meets from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 2 through Nov. 20.

The fee is $299 per person and includes course materials. Grant funding is available on behalf of Waupaca County to offset costs.
