Weyauwega-Fremont then sealed the match with a pair of 25-19 wins.
Team leaders for the Indians included Jayden McCoy (five aces), Ashley Johnson (24 assists), Julia Rice (15 kills) and Brianna Weiland (31 digs).
The Indians will host Wild Rose at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, for the team’s annual Crush Cancer match.
The team sold Crush Cancer T-shirts, is selling bandanas the week of the match and will hold a basket raffle at the match.
“Last year, we raised just over $3,000 and donated a portion to a local family for the continued care of their child who is now in remission,” coach Rena Tomaszewski said. “We also donated a portion of the money to the Theda Care Cancer Care Foundation for the comfort and care of patients going through treatment. This year we plan on doing the same, choosing a different family.”
