Waupaca County sheriff’s report Sept. 16

• Sept. 15 – Caller from the E2600 block of Marion Lane, Lind, reported finding a log splitter in front of his shed. He said it wasn’t his and he did not know how it got there.

• Sept. 15 – Caller from the N6800 block of Hoyord Road, Scandinavia, reported a blue pickup and a black SUV were racing on Hoyord, Bestul and County Trunk G.

• Sept. 15 – New London man reported that he left some belongings behind when he moved and his roommate sold them.

• Sept. 14 – Caller from Bear Lake Campground, Manawa, reported being physically assaulted and asked for an ambulance.

• Sept. 14 – Caller from the N8200 block of County Trunk J, Iola, reported loud bangs and requested an officer come to the area. Dispatch reported also hearing the bangs over the phone.

• Sept. 14 – Caller from the 500 block of South Main, Waupaca, reported that three people tried to enter his apartment while he was sleeping. He shut the door and locked them out.

• Sept. 14 – Caller from the N1000 block of State Highway 22, Clintonville, reported that a green and black pickup was doing 110 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• Sept. 14 – Caller from the 600 block of Oak Street, Waupaca, reported that someone threw a mattress on his car and a sign in his yard.

• Sept. 14 – Caller reported golf carts driving on Birchwood Drive, Country Lane and Wilson Road in Waupaca.

• Sept. 12 – Scandinavia town chair reported that several stop signs had been stolen or damaged in the area.

• Sept. 12 – Caller from E8600 block of Huntley Road, New London, reported that someone stole gas from his truck.

• Sept. 12 – Waupaca man came to the sheriff’s office and asked to speak with an officer about “some weird photos.”

• Sept. 12 – Caller from N1400 block of Hidden Pine Road, Fremont, reported that someone broke into her home and stole an old-fashioned butter churn.
• Sept. 12 – Hunters Sports Bar, State Highway 96, Readfield, reported receiving bad checks.

• Sept. 11 – New London caller reported that her 6-foot tall, 300-pound, 14-year-old son had been fighting with his sister.

• Sept. 11 – Waupaca caller reported that an 18-year-old girl made a video saying she would kill herself.

• Sept. 11 – Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a Facebook message asking for a welfare check on a woman. The message said she had not heard from the woman in a week and the woman’s boyfriend was out on bond and to have no contact with her.

• Sept. 11 – A 78-year-old Clintonville woman said she went downstairs to get a drink shortly before 4 a.m. The light went off as she was on the stairs. So she locked herself in her bedroom with two loaded guns.

• Sept. 11 – Waupaca caller said her 16-year-old son was vaping and began to “feel weird.” She said he keeps falling down and was unable to stand. About 12 minutes later, the paramedics requested officers because the subject became violent.

• Sept. 10 – Woman came into the New London Policed Department with a black eye and reported domestic abuse.

• Sept. 10 – ThedaCare in Waupaca reported that an 82-year-old woman was picked up from the hospital by her son, who was in the parking lot yelling at her and honking his horn.
