Waupaca offers books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games
Friends of the Waupaca Library will hold a $2 per bag book sale during the month of October.
All items in the basement sale room and main floor lobby of the library will be on sale.
Items include hard cover and paperback books, puzzles, games, magazines, VHS videos, music CDs and DVDs.
New items will be added to the sale as they are donated and sorted.
Money made from the sale will be used to buy items needed for all the departments in the library.
The sale will be held during normal library hours Monday through Friday.
Open meeting
The Friends of the Waupaca Library will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in the conference room on the library’s main floor.
The meeting is open to the public.
Library departments request funding for items not covered in the budget.
At the April 30 meeting, Friends granted $3,300 for requests, including Lucky Day DVDs, prize books and supplies for the children’s summer programs, T-shirts and other items for the adult summer program, and funding for the summer movies.
