Man charged with attempted enticement

Suspect accused of sharing photo of his bare chest

Anthony J. Anunson, 21, Manawa, is charged with attempted child enticement, exposing intimate parts to a child and misdemeanor bail jumping.

On Sept. 30, Waupaca County Deputy Paul Hanneman met with a 16-year-old girl who reported exchanging sexual messages with Anunson via Facebook Messenger.

According to the criminal complaint, Anunson sent the girl a photo of himself with his shirt off.

The girl sent him several photos of herself without a shirt or a bra.

Anunson allegedly asked the girl if she wanted to have sex.

When she responded “Sure. I don’t know where,” Anunson reportedly suggested his car.

He was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond with the condition that he have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 electronically.

On Aug. 16, Anunson entered a plea of no contest to the misdemeanor offense of contributing to the delinquency of a child.

He was initially charged with sexual intercourse with a child age 16 or older, but the charge was amended.

The incident allegedly occurred in a church on March 4, 2018, the complaint says.

Anunson filed a notice that he intended to appeal.

Judge Vicki Clussman withheld sentence pending his appeal and placed Anunson on probation.
