Manawa boys place eighth

Clintonville and Manawa’s cross country teams headed to Rosholt Oct. 3 for the Rosholt Invitational.
The Clintonville girls’ and boys’ teams placed third and sixth, respectively.
The Manawa boys’ team placed eighth and the girls’ squad did not have a complete team.
Jasmine Wilson led the Clintonville girls with a 10th-place finish in 22:43.94, followed by Kayla Klemp (12th, 22:50.12); Allison Smejkal (19th, 23:49.7); Magdalena Grassl (33rd, 27:01.17); Katie Lamberies (39th, 28:35.48);
Aspen Linjer and Andria Weber placed 40th and 42nd in 29:38.06 and 29:43.02, respectively.
Bonduel won the girls’ championship with 30 points, followed by Rosholt (43), Clintonville (87), Adams-Friendship (98) Crandon (111) and Marion (142).
Jesse Wilson placed third for Clintonville in the boys’ race in 17:19.88, followed by Cameron Mauel (seventh, 17:45.95); Cody Carrico (31st, 19:11.93); Casey Ploederl (37th, 19:45.76); Brody Prill (41st, 19:59.09); Kyle Tennie (42nd, 20:13.34); Caedyn Higgins (60th, 21:57.86); and Carson Perry (66th, 23:21.48).
Manawa’s finishers included Justin Buschke (38th, 19:49.59); Jacob Scheller (51st, 21:00.66); Ted Emmert (56th, 21:30.83); Hunter Schlueter (58th, 21:312.4); and Ethan Tellock (69th, 24:03.98).
Stevens Point won the boys’ championship with 30 points, followed by Pacelli (73), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (91), Bonduel and Rosholt (97), Clintonville (115), Menominee Indian (219), Manawa (241), Adams-Friendship (244), Marion (272) and Crandon (292).
