Somantha Danielle Lynn Shanklin passed away unexpectedly at her home in Weyauwega WI on October 3, 2019.
Somantha was born on February 21, 1993 in Stevens Point WI to Keith and Sherry Shanklin. She grew up in the Waupaca/King and Weyauwega area. Somantha enjoyed doing things outside and spending time with her friends and family. She graduated from Weyauwega high school in 2011. She worked a couple of places before finding a job that she really liked. For the last six years she worked at Alliance Ind. Somantha always enjoyed being at work, and making other people laugh and have fun at work. Over the last couple of years, she enjoyed learning to hunt with her brother and dad, and getting her first buck.
Somantha is survived by her grandfather Bert Shanklin; her father Keith Shanklin; her mother Sherry Mayer; her brother Kody (Molly) Shanklin, and by her two cats that she loved very much, Zephora and Malachi. Also, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Somantha will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and co-workers. Somantha was preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and Gladys Hintz and Lois Shanklin.
A memorial service will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca. Tony Turner will officiate. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home.
