Manawa restaurant reopens

The Daily Grind reopened at 310 S. Bridge St. on Monday, Oct. 7.
Terry and Jennifer Borchert own and operate the Manawa business.
They had closed it in January, after leasing the property to another business.
When it came to renew that lease, they decided not to.
“I cannot tell you his reasons for not renewing,” Jennifer said. “But I am excited to get it back.”
Jennifer has always loved cooking for other people.
“I like seeing happy customers,” she said. “I have certainly missed seeing all the people.”
Customers can expect to see the same menu as before.
“Some of our best sellers are our breakfast burritos and homemade corned beef hash,” she said. “We will also be adding a few new things, but we are still working all of that out.”
The Daily Grind is open from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7-11 a.m. Saturday.
It is closed on Sunday.
“We cannot wait to see everyone again,” said Jennifer. “We are looking forward to meeting some new people as well.”
