One dead, six injured in collision
A 72-year-old Clintonville man was killed in a crash shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the man’s passenger car was stopped on Neitzke Road at U.S. Highway 45.
He then pulled out into the path of a northbound van, operated by a 69-year-old woman from Birnamwood.
The medical examiner pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the van and five other passengers were taken by ambulance to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
The names of the victims have not been released at this time.
