Having read your page 1 article, “Clintonville Homecoming canceled,” I have several concerns.
First of all let me say that I am only going by the information provided by your article and the letters to the editor from the superintendent of Clintonville schools and the Clintonville Police Department as well as television news.
The video on the news showed four to five individuals that mimicked a Native American dance.
Those individuals should be severely dealt with.
Having worked in Wisconsin public schools for 34 years I feel the need to speak up.
As a taxpayer supporting our public schools I am very aware of how difficult it is to find refs for games and also bus drivers for team travel.
Homecoming activities are a big deal for high school students, especially seniors.
I’m sure a considerable amount of planning was done by many different groups, including school staff, parents and students.
These hard workers deserved better.
