The driver of a semi-trailer was killed around 5:48 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, on U.S. Highway 10 west of Fulton Street in Waupaca.
According to Waupaca police, the semi was traveling westbound on U.S. 10 when it lost control and rolled onto its side, blocking both lanes of traffic.
Two westbound pickup trucks were unable to stop in time and struck the semi.
The Waupaca County Medical Examiner’s Office declared the semi driver dead at the scene.
The other two drivers were uninjured.
Waupaca police and firefighters, Waupaca County deputies and Gold Cross paramedics initially responded to the scene.
Wisconsin state troopers responded to complete the traffic crash reconstruction.
U.S. 10 westbound lanes were closed for more than two hours.
No further details of the incident are being released at this time.
