A former community leader in the Weyauwega-Fremont area is going to prison.

Judge Mark McGinnis sentenced Timothy C. Dietzen, 56, to a total of 13 years in state prison and 21 years of extended supervision.

A jury convicted Dietzen of three felony sex crimes that occurred in September 2013, October 2014 and December 2017.

To protect the victims, the Waupaca County Post is not reporting any further details of the crimes.

Dietzen appeared in Outagamie County Circuit for sentencing on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

McGinnis ordered Dietzen to register as a sex offender and undergo any counseling or treatment recommended by his agent.

While on extended supervision, Dietzen is prohibited from having any direct or indirect contact with the victims. He is not allowed to visit their homes or places of employment.

He is also prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18.

A 1981 graduate of Weyauwega-Fremont High School, Dietzen was active in community and business organizations.

He was president of the Weyauwega and Fremont chambers of commerce.

Dietzen’s photo and welcome letter appear on page 3 of the 2019 Weyauwega Area Visitors Guide.

He helped organize Weyauwega’s Horse and Buggy Days in 2017 and 2018.

Dietzen was the former administrator of Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega and worked at nursing homes and rehab centers in Stevens Point, Green Bay and De Pere.

He was also a member of the Waupaca County Caregivers Association.

Dietzen’s attorney, Nila Robinson, filed a notice of intention to pursue post-conviction relief.
