Breakfast with the Grinch

Manawa celebrates Miracle on Bridge Street

By Holly Neumann

Tickets are available for the second annual Breakfast with the Grinch.

It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Manawa Masonic Center.

The center is located at 520 N. Bridge St., in Manawa.

“Last year was a mega success. We served 241 people in 1.5 hours,” said Brenda Vander Zanden, who helps organize the event. “We anticipate serving 300 people this year.”

The event is part of Manawa’s Miracle on Bridge Street celebration.

She thinks seeing Whoville through the eyes of children is what makes the breakfast special.

“The colors, the decor, the food and, of course, the Grinch himself and Cindy Lou Who,” said Vander Zanden. “Kids can interact as much or little as they wish with characters.”

The breakfast will include Grinch pancakes, sausages, fruit and Whoville punch.

There will be photo opportunities with the Grinch, Cindy Lou and more.

Tickets are $5 for children age 10 and under and $8 for those age 11 and up.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Prepaid reservations are requested.
