Felony charges follow overdose

Police say they found stolen property in the suspect’s bedroom.

Andrew R. Meyer, 20, New London, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, felony and misdemeanor bail jumping, concealing stolen property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 3, New London police officers responded to a reported drug overdose at an apartment on Beckert Street.

According to the criminal complaint, they found Meyer unconscious on his bed with several needles lying nearby.

Officers learned Outagamie County had released Meyer on a $1,000 cash bond with the condition that he have no contact with his girlfriend, Halie Kruger.

She had the same conditions on her $2,500 cash bond.

Both of them are facing felony theft charges in Outagamie County.

Meyer’s sister, who lived at the same address, told the officers Kruger had been staying at the apartment off and on for the past week.

Officers also reported finding needles filled with meth, marijuana and marijuana wax.

Police seized several allegedly stolen items, including an airgun and power tools.

Meyer is currently in Waupaca County jail on a $1,000 cash bond.
