Fatal crash in rural Fremont

Driver killed Thursday night

A 59-year-old Mosinee woman was killed shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the woman’s car pulled out of from the stop sign at Old Highway 49 and U.S. Highway 10 and was struck by an eastbound van.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Waupaca Conty Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the van, a 43-year-old male from Green Bay, and his 30-year-old male passenger from Green Bay were uninjured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with reconstruction of the crash.

Names have not been released as theincident remains under investigation.
