Richard “Dick” Pirk of Waupaca, age 76, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019.
He was born in Waupaca on July 13, 1943 to the late Marvin and Joyce (Abrahamson) Pirk. On March 7, 1964 he married Karen Johnson. Dick was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. He started as a Journeyman Bricklayer and worked until he became hurt. He then sold insurance for New York Life. He also owned and operated Karen’s Bait Shop. Dick loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed watching the Packers and car races. He also loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Karen; son, Daniel (Michelle) Pirk and grandchildren: Brenden, Olivia, Amanda, Thomas and Dennis; brother, Robert (Kathy) Pirk, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Donald and Douglas.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 1120 Evans Street. The visitation will be on Friday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
