Mary Ann Busse, age 85, of Wautoma, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 26, 2019 at Heartland House in Wautoma.
She was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Marie (Kretz) Peplansky. She married Walter H. Busse on Oct. 11, 1958 in Chicago. Mary Ann and her husband resided in Chicago until moving to Amherst Junction in 1971. She was employed as an Accredited Record Technician at the former Iola Hospital & Nursing Home until her retirement. She moved to Wautoma in 1990. She enjoyed collecting dolls, ceramics, computer games, flowers and birds.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Walter H. Busse, Wautoma; four children: Mary Clare Busse (Tom), Campbellsport; Mark J. Busse (Carol), Amherst Junction; Mary Beth Busse (Robert), Brandon, and Mary Ann Busse, Denver, CO; six grandchildren: Kevin Thorn (Jill), Becky Thorn (Vic), Ben Livingood (Amy), Tory Ryan (John), Courtney Livingood, and Kristy Busse (Brian); two great-grandchildren, Eden and Maya. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Matthew Busse; and by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 noon until the time of services. Cremation will follow. wautomafuneralhome.com
