Driver arrested for 6th OWI

Blood-alcohol level more than twice legal limit

Cameron Carlson, 48, Waupaca, is charged with a sixth drunken driving offense.

At 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Waupaca County Deputy Sara Besel stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 10 near State Highway 22 in Waupaca.

She reported seeing Carlson’s vehicle cross the center line, then drifted back into his own lane.

Dispatch informed Besel that other motorists had called 911 to report seeing a vehicle with the same license plate number driving “all over the road.”

A preliminary breathalyzer test indicated that Carlson had a .189 blood-alcohol content.

Carlson has five prior drunken driving convctions from 2000 to 2015.

He is restricted to a .02 BAC when driving.

Carlson was released from custody after posting a $1,000 cash bond.
