Manawa picks up home win

Miller leads Wolves with 18 points

The Manawa Wolves girls’ basketball team opened up Central Wisconsin Conference North Division play Dec. 5 with a 52-17 win over Marion.

The Wolves outscored the Marion Mustangs 29-9 in the first half behind seven points from Mikayla Wegener.

Kaitlyn Miller added 13 of her game-high 18 points in the second half. Grace Johnson and Josie Nichols finished with six points each, while Tessa Brei led Marion with seven.

Johnson and Nichols also led the Wolves in rebounds with eight and seven, respectively.

The Wolves traveled to Tigerton Dec. 10 and will host Bowler at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13.
