Haase, Marlene

Marlene Haase (Hall) was born in Janesville, WI on March 19, 1935, the only child of the late James and Mary (Worthington) Hall.

She passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Marlene retired in 1995 after a long career including Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Waupaca County Treasurer Office and Waupaca County Veterans Service Office. Marlene was the compassionate, loving and devoted matriarch of her family. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. While her passions included her flower gardens and her joy of camping with her family she especially relished her title as the Best Nana Ever. We are confident that she is still, “Fine, just fine.”

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gene of Waupaca; children: James (Michelle) Felder of Waupaca, Mary Felder Burke of Waupaca, and Murphy (Claudine) Harnack of Madison; grandchildren: Kyle Felder, Malia-lyn Burke Forseth, and Donovan Burke (Kirstin); and great-grandchildren: Gavin, Jhett, Quinnlan, Hudson, Mylah, and Gracelyn. Marlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Felder.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home with Fr. Nigel Bousfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest near her daughter in Crystal Lake Cemetery, in the spring.
