Carol loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking and especially Boundary Waters canoe trips. She and Merle volunteered at the Apostle Islands for 10 summers, six on Oak Island. She also had a special fondness for northern Door County and Washington Island.

Carol loved to write letters and note cards. If you never received one from Carol, she probably didn’t know you!
