Police find suspect sleeping in parked truck
Jessica L. Malone, 42, Waupaca, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance as party to a crime.
On the morning of Sunday, Nov. 24, Staff Sgt. Todd Sarazin, with New London police, was called out to New London Travel Plaza for a welfare check.
He found a woman slumped over in the driver’s seat of a black Ford F150 with its engine running.
The truck was registered to Justin Baumgardt, who had been arrested on drug charges the previous night in Waupaca.
According to the criminal complaint, Sarazin found meth, diazepam and other drugs in the vehicle.
Malone is scheduled for her initial court appearance on Jan. 7.
