Criminal sentencing

Recent convictions, sentencings and dismissals from Waupaca County felony cases.

• Judge Vicki Clussman sentenced Brandon D. Ehlke, 23, Clintonville, to two years in state prison and five years of extended supervision.

Ehlke was convicted of armed burglary and burglary. Three counts of theft and another count of burglary were dismissed but read into the court record for sentencing purposes.

Clussman also ordered Ehlke to pay $2,004 in restitution and court costs.

In a second case, Ehlke was convicted of possession of methamphetamine.

Clussman sentenced Ehlke to one year in prison for the drug conviction, to be served concurrently with burglary sentence.

• Judge Raymond Huber sentenced Keith E. Amundson, 40, Waupaca, to three years in prison and five years of extended supervision.

Amundson was convicted of delivery of narcotics as party to a crime and possession of narcotics.

A charge of first-degree reckless homicide was dismissed but read into the court record.

Huber gave Amundson 263 days credit for the time he spent in jail on a $10,000 cash bond after his arrest.

• Judge Raymond Huber imposed and stayed a two-year prison sentence for Jordan S. May, 32, Waupaca.

May was convicted of second-degree reckless endangerment.

Huber placed May on three years of probation with six months in county jail on monitored release.

Conditions of his probation include that May have no contact with Jason Toutant, the man whom he shot in the foot on March 17 in the town of Lind.

• Judge Troy Nielsen sentenced Hayley L. Michalski, 21, Clintonville, to three years in state prison and three years of extended supervision.

Michalski was convicted of two felony counts of forgery uttering.

Nielsen also ordered Michalski to pay $2,345 in restitution and court costs.

Michalski is currently confined at Taycheedah Correctional Institution for burglary and multiple theft convictions in Shawano County.

• Clussman imposed and stayed a five-year prison sentence for Mamie A. Nero, 40, Waupaca and placed her on five years of probation.

Nero was convicted of delivery of heroin and delivery of methaphetamine.

Charges of delivery of narcotics, drug trafficking, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of narcotics, controlled substance, illegally obtained prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the court record.

Clussman gave Nero 154 days credit on her sentence if her probation is revoked. Nero was in custody on a $50,000 cash bond, and then rehab following her arrest in March.

As a condition of her probation, Nero must participate in any counseling and treatment deemed appropriate by her agent and pay $1,476 in court costs.

• Clussman placed Stephanie A. Dillman, 31, Waupaca, on five years of probation.

Dillman was convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of THC with intent and misdemeanor child neglect.

Charges of possession of meth with intent, drug trafficking and felony bail jumping were dismissed but read into the court record.

Conditions of Dillman’s probation include that she maintain absolute sobriety, not go into taverns, not possess or consume alcohol, not operate a vehicle with any amount of alcohol or controlled substances in her system and participate in Waupaca County Drug Treatment Court.

Clussman also ordered Dillman to pay $1,997 in fines and court costs.

• Nielsen sentenced John R. Bush, 29, Appleton, to six months in county jail with monitored release.

Bush was convicted of misdemeanor battery as an act of domestic abuse.

Charges of felony strangulation, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer were dismissed but read into the record.

In a separate case, Bush was also convicted of felony bail jumping and placed on three years of probation.

Nielsen ordered him to pay a total of $961 in court costs.

• Nielsen placed Brett J. Birling, 29, New London, on 18 months of probation.

Birling was convicted of misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Felony charges of possession of THC with intent to deliver and bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

In a second case, Birling was convicted of delivery of THC, while two counts of possession of THC with intent and one count of delivery of non-narcotic drugs were dismissed but read into the record.

Nielsen also ordered Birling to pay $1,404 in total court costs and participate in any counseling and treatment deemed appropriate by his agent.

• Nielsen sentenced Eben T. Jackson, 30, Waupaca, to six months in county jail with monitored release.

Jackson was convicted of felony bail jumping and operating a vehicle after revocation.

Charges of felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

Nielsen assessed Jackson $961 in court costs.

• Nielsen placed Bradley A. Bricco, 46, Clintonville, on two years of probation and ordered him to pay $1,520 in restitution and court costs.

Bricco was convicted of forgery uttering.

Two counts of forgery uttering and one count of theft were dismissed but read into the court record.

Currently, Bricco is in Shawano County jail on a charge of identity theft.

Charged on June 21, 2017, Bricco was released from custody on a $500 signature bond.

On Oct. 2, 2017, he failed to appear in Shawano County Circuit Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Bricco was arrested on Oct. 17, 2017, then released on Oct. 23, 2017, after posting a $1,000 cash bond.

On Feb. 26, 2018, he failed to appear in court, again.

On March 29, 2018, Shawano County ordered that Bricco forfeit his $1,000 cash bond.

On July 2, 2018, Bricco forfeited a $2,000 cash bond for failure to appear.

On Oct. 24, 2019, Bricco forfeited a $5,000 cash bond for failure to appear.

On Nov. 26, 2019, Bricco was arrested again and is currently in custody on a $7,500 cash bond.
