Bulldogs split last two games

New London girls top Menasha

New London outscored Freedom in the second half, but ended up on the short end of a 46-36 score Dec. 26 in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.

The Bulldogs also picked up a 65-48 Bay Conference win Dec. 20 over Menasha.

Freedom 46, New London 36

Freedom used 22 points from Callie Genke to beat the Bulldogs at the Kress Center in Green Bay.

The Irish took a 31-19 lead into the locker room at halftime, but the Bulldogs had a 17-15 advantage in the second half.

Samantha Pfefferle and Mikayla Henderson led New London with 10 and nine points, respectively.

New London 65, Menasha 48

The Bulldogs outscored the Bluejays 39-23 in the first half and 26-25 in the second.

Pfefferle and Henderson led New London with 20 points each, while Mara Rieder led Menasha with 20.

New London will head to Winneconne Friday, Jan. 3, for a nonconference matchup with the Wolves before returning to Bay Conference play Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Green Bay West.
