Woman faces 4th OWI

Driver in jail on cash bond

Jennifer L. Schrader, 33, Menasha, is charged with a fourth drunken driving offense.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Christmas Day, Waupaca County Deputy James Santiago was dispatched to a crash on U.S. Highway 45 at Davis Road in the town of Lebanon.

Santiago reported finding a car in a farm field and Schrader with a First Responder on the shoulder of U.S. 45.

According to the criminal complaint, Schrader refused to take a preliminary breath test, saying she had diabetes and had not eaten.

Schrader reportedly offered to perform “stupid human tricks,” but Santiago said field sobriety tests were not feasible because she hit her head during the crash.

Santiago obtained a warrant for a blood draw.

Schrader is currently in custody on a $2,000 cash bond.

She was also cited for refusing to take a sobriety test and failure to maintain control of a vehicle.
