Irish cruise in Clintonville

It’s not easy to score on the Freedom girls’ basketball team.
The Clintonville Truckers learned that lesson the hard way Jan. 3 in a 71-32 North Eastern Conference loss to the Irish.
Freedom improved to 6-0 in conference play and 8-1 overall, while the Truckers fell to 4-2 in the conference and 6-3 overall.
The Irish held the Truckers to 16 points in each half. Freedom led 31-16 at halftime and outscored the home team 40-16 in the second half.
Elly Arndt led Clintonville with 13 points, while Gabby Johnson and Taylor Haase had 15 and 14, respectively, for Freedom.
Clintonville will travel to Marinette Tuesday, Jan. 7, before hosting Fox Valley Lutheran at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10.
