Speaker at Holly Center in Waupaca
Local resident John Hoftiezer will present “Rural’s Rural Cemetery” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Holly History and Genealogy Center.
His program will focus on the stories buried in Rural Cemetery, along with a brief history of the Rural community itself.
He will include information about the founding of the cemetery taken from original records, along with general history of the evolution of gravestones and burial traditions.
The program will take place in the center’s lower-level meeting room.
