Haas, Gloria

Gloria Haas, age 82, of Clintonville passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Gloria Haas (neĆ© Logan) was born on June 14, 1937 in New York to Aldrich and Grace (Ewart) Logan. Gloria was well known for her candid temperament and straight to the point attitude which lent to her hospitable nature. She pulled no punches and spoke her mind regularly. She grew up in Sheepshead Bay and also spent part of her life in upstate New York – a time she recalled with fondness. She married Vincent Scotto in 1957 and the couple had three children – Vincent, Gregg, and Kyle. The family moved to California in the early 70s to be closer to Gloriaā€™s family. After several years, Gloria began working for Nationwide Insurance where she spent nearly two decades. In the mid-1980s, she met and married William Haas. She often referred to him as the love of her life and they enjoyed traveling to different places and spending time with each other. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband William who passed in the 1990s. William truly made Gloria feel like she was special and his passing was especially difficult for her. To help ease her heartache, Gloria participated with the local AA Organization, helping others and being very active.

In the 2000s, Gloria moved to Clintonville to be closer to her children and grandchildren where she was able to purchase her own home; one of her proudest accomplishments. She continued her work and membership with the AA Organization in Clintonville, making numerous friends along the way. It is here she met one of her best friends David Pike; who has been a great friend, companion, and help not only to Gloria but also to her family.

She is survived by her three children and their families: Vincent and wife Shelly, Gregg, Kyle, 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
