Foundation to award $12,000

CAF to distribute grants to nonprofits

The Clintonville Area Foundation (CAF) will distribute $12,000 in grants to nine local nonprofit organizations Friday, Feb. 21.

These grants are awarded from the Clintonville Community Fund, one of 29 funds managed by the CAF.

The identity of the recipients will be revealed to the public at the event.

This has become a yearly rite for this organization that has grown from humble beginnings with a vision for the future back in 1995.

Last year the total assets of the CAF exceeded $1.1 million.

This amount represents the total value of all charitable funds under administration by CAF, which generate grant dollars that are used to improve the community.

“This is a win-win for all involved,” said Clintonville Foundation Advisory Board Chair Mike Hankins. “We get to celebrate our grant recipients in person. Our donors, and other folks from the community, find out the good their donations and support is doing in our community. They also learn more about the good work of those nonprofits.”

The Grant Distribution Celebration will be from 7-8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Living Room Coffee Shop in Clintonville.

Since 2000, the CAF has awarded over $400,000 in grants from charitable and scholarship funds created within the CAF by individuals and families.
